Banana Lab
Go bananas! Banana Lab was a creative food lab to educate the general public about the potential of brown bananas in collaboration with Stadin uuni, a collective who built this communal stone oven.
Not banana-related: Archie, our oven was good. Prior Banana Lab, we mainly baked pizzas.

Background
While studying, I worked part-time as a cashier at a wholesale retailer and interacted with people from the food industry on a regular base.
I noticed the food waste problem was huge and real. Among all products, bananas are the most thrown away items due to its high perishability.
The perfect yellow is the standard.
Discover
The format of Banana Lab was simple. I gathered 'banana trash' and we provided a table of basic ingredients like flour and sugar. Participants were encouraged to bring heir own ingredients to create magic with strangers/new friends!
On the day of the event, we had had many nice delicious surprises. Recipes were created and collected, laughter, chatter and good food were shared.
Yay to brown bananas!
